LIVERIS ACADEMY UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for the Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Completion:
    • You will complete, or have completed, Year 12 in the two-year period prior to the year of the award (i.e., 2022 or 2023).
  • Program Enrollment:
    • You have completed no more than one semester towards one of the following programs in the year of the award:
      • Bachelor of Computer Science
      • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
      • An engineering integrated program
      • Bachelor of Science
      • Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours)
      • Bachelor of Information Technology
      • Bachelor of Mathematics
      • A dual program including one of these programs
  • Tertiary Study:
    • You have not undertaken any tertiary study at the Bachelor level or higher prior to enrolling in the approved program (special studies not included).
  • Scholarship Exclusivity:
    • You do not hold another scholarship that the Director considers to be similar.

LIVERIS ACADEMY UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS:

  • Duration:
    • The Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded for a period of up to four years.
  • Rewards:
    • Annual Stipend:
      • Recipients will receive $10,000 per annum for the duration of their undergraduate program (up to four years).
    • Travel Support:
      • Recipients may also receive up to $10,000 for travel support. This can be used for:
        • Approved Gap Semester
        • Exchange programs
        • Internship opportunities

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR LIVERIS ACADEMY UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP:

  • Academic Achievement:
    • Evidence of academic success in Year 12 and/or in an approved program.
  • Quality of Application Materials:
    • Short Video: Evaluation of the content, clarity, and creativity of the submitted video.
    • Essay: Assessment of the written essay for coherence, insight, and relevance to the scholarship themes.
  • Personal Qualities:
    • Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership abilities and potential.
    • Community Service and Engagement: Evidence of involvement in community service and engagement activities.
    • Alignment with Liveris Academy Graduate Attributes: Compatibility with the values and attributes promoted by the Liveris Academy.
  • Commitment to Academic Excellence:
    • A demonstrated history of academic excellence and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Participation in Co-curricular Activities:
    • Willingness to Engage: Demonstrated willingness and capacity to actively participate in and positively contribute to co-curricular activities at UQ.
    • Interest in Developmental Activities: Strong interest in undertaking developmental activities offered through the Liveris Academy.
  • Other Relevant Factors:
    • Any additional factors the selection committee deems relevant to the applicant’s potential for success at UQ and in their future career.
